A classic pencil skirt is timeless and a very versatile item to have in your wardrobe.
Some of you have mentioned you work outside the home and would enjoy more work wear outfit ideas. Since I work from home, my style is very casual but I’m trying to add more pieces to my wardrobe that I could wear to conferences and events.
J. Jill’s Wearever collection is perfect for the working woman. It can seamlessly take you, well, WHEREVER. Whether you’re working, traveling or at home, you can pull together a comfortable and stylish outfit.
Today I’m featuring their Wearever Jacquard Pencil Skirt. I’m sharing two looks – one with a sleeveless shirt for when the fall weather is still warm and one with a denim jacket layered over for those cooler days and evenings.
I ordered the skirt in a medium because I thought I needed the extra room, but I definitely should have gotten a small. It’s quite large in the waist, so I’ll have to have it altered. I normally wear a size 6 in pants; to give you an idea of what size you might need.
J. Jill’s Wearever collection features six essentials pieces that all work together to create so many stylish looks. Plus, each month they release a new pattern, and for September it’s a beautiful oversized herringbone and rich paisley. All of the prints can easily be mixed and matched with the collection’s neutral colors of blue, gray, cream and black.
Here are the six essentials.
Pleated-Back Jacket | Split-Hem Top | Smooth-Fit Full-Leg Pants | Smooth-Fit Slim-Leg Pants | Long Tank | Smooth-Fit Pencil Skirt
I also have the Pleated-Back Jacket, which looks really nice with a white tank and the Jacquard pencil skirt. I’ll be featuring the jacket soon, to show you how many outfits you can wear it with. Keep reading for complete outfit details.
